To our patrons,

Thank you so much for your support of us over the years. I am reaching out with the hope that you and your loved ones are safe and healthy during these difficult times. The staff is in good health, working remotely, and taking the current circumstances day by day.

I wanted to provide you with an update on where things stand with the rest of our Season. Performances for American Idiot were scheduled to begin Saturday. As previously announced, we are postponing American Idiot until it is safe to reopen. It is also necessary to postpone our April performance of Menopause The Musical and Moana Jr. and our May main stage run of In the Heights. In light of the CDC’s most recent recommendations, rehearsals for these shows have been temporarily suspended. When it is again safe to gather in a public building we will open with our production of American Idiot and follow with Menopause The Musical. We will be tentatively moving
Moana Jr. to weekends in July and August and In The Heights to the fall, as well as adding an additional 10 performances of Menopause The Musical to our fall schedule. We will be in touch with each of you when we have definitive information as to when the theatre may be opened for an audience.

The theater building is closed, but the box office remains manned remotely from 10 am – 3 pm Monday – Saturday.

For the economic well-being of our primary personnel we have made the decision to keep our core staff in place (remotely) throughout these difficult times. We are pleased to be able to do this for a limited time. If this emergency continues for a prolonged period, our ability to maintain this arrangement will cease. For this reason, we are reaching out to our valued supporters for assistance if possible.

While purchasing tickets for a specific date is difficult at this time, we ask you to consider our array of “Passes”.

Supporter Pass – $295 – You receive 10 tickets to use to attend any main stage theatre performance and most Special events at the theatre. You can use these tickets at your discretion – bring 10 people to one performance or attend 5 different shows with friend or any combination you wish. (A savings of $105 from individual ticket prices)

Children’s Supporter Pass – $150 – You receive 10 tickets to attend any children’s theatre production at the theatre. Use it as you wish when you wish. (A savings of $30 from individual Children’s Theatre ticket prices).

Loyalty Pass – $195 – You receive 6 tickets to attend any main stage theatre performance and most Special events at the theatre. Use it as you wish when you wish. (A savings of $45 from individual ticket prices).

Other ways of supporting us:

Gift Cards – Mainstage tickets are $40 ($36 for seniors). Children’s Theatre tickets are $18 – most special events are $40. Buy a Gift Card today and pick your show and date at a later date.

Charitable giving – the theatre is a Federally recognized 501 c-3 organization. If you believe in the value of the arts in your community and the importance of the arts to the nurturing of our children, then consider a tax-deductible donation. Donations of any size are greatly appreciated and are vital to maintaining the quality of our programming and the integrity of the facility.

We thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide.

In the meantime, we will be keeping a close eye on developments as they arise and keep working hard to adapt to the situation, keeping the best interests of our audiences, artists, staff, and our company in mind. We will be updating you as things progress, but if you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us any time at info@smithtownpac.org.

From everyone here, thank you for being a part of the Smithtown Theatre community. We would truly not be able to fulfill our mission without the support and interest from our wonderful audience members like you. I hope that you and yours stay safe and well and look forward to welcoming you back to the theater as soon as we can.

Best regards,
Ken
